B.Swift Tyres Choose Tyreman

Tyreman announces the first in a line of new customers to sign up for the latest Tyreman 2000 software. B.Swift Tyres of West Lothian is a new name to the Tyreman client base.

Tyreman's Marketing Manager paid a visit to B.Swift Tyres to find out more on why they chose Tyreman and to congratulate them on being the first Tyreman 2000 customer. The business which Brian Swift, Managing Director, established in 1982 was paper driven and required new focus in the form of a software solution. John Swift, Director, and soon to take over when his father retires at the end of the year, said "There was a need for computers in the business, which was re-emphasised when West Lothian Council, one of B.Swift Tyre's longest running customers, set a technology requirement for all suppliers.

John looked at the options by considering the major Tyre Software suppliers in the industry, and sought industry opinion from other Tyre Dealerships that he knew and trusted. Finally, on the basis of trialling the two major contending tyre applications, Tyreman 2000 came out on top. When asked the reasons for John's choice, he replied "Tyreman 2000's graphics were superior to the competition and it seemed the more user friendly application." John went on to say, he liked the fact that the software package was "all inclusive" and, "I knew that everything I needed to run a business was there. With the other choice I would have had to have ordered each module I required separately, and as I was new to technology, the Tyreman 2000 whole package made the decision process a lot easier for me."

Finally John reiterated that "We are delighted and very, very excited, and cannot wait to get it all up and running, which the Tyreman support team are saying is going to be even earlier than the expected go-live date of 1 st August." John wanted to thank Brian Sheldon and Bryn Jones who had installed and trained the B.Swift Team in a shorter time than expected and still had time to give John a few computer lessons at the same time!

B.Swift Tyres, has many established customers, of which there is Grampian Country Foods, Hays Distribution, and Lothian and Borders Police. They are also members of the NTDA, ITDN and affiliated to First Stop and FTM. The company currently has seven employees and a mobile tyre van fitting capacity of two for trucks and one for cars.
